Dear ISGD Community Members,
I am sincerely expressing my intention to accept the opportunity of running for the ISGD board, driven by my deep connection with our community and a commitment to positive change. As a devoted mother actively involved in various community initiatives, I have witnessed our unity's strength and the potential for growth.
My engagement includes activities like Saturday and Sunday school, help organizing various successful camps, contributing to women's committee, help orchestrating Ramadan iftar /suhoor etc. I am committed to strengthening bonds and I aim to contribute more to our community's well-being and growth. Together, let's continue the journey of spiritual growth and community building. I'm eager to bring dedication, compassion, and collaboration to ensure our mosque remains a beacon of unity and love for generations to come. Your trust and support is appreciated, and I look forward to the opportunity to further contribute to the bright future of our mosque community.

JAK,

Br. Hussam Qasem

I am Hussam Qasem, I have been serving on ISGD board of directors for approximately 3 years.
I have implemented new policies related to ISGD finances. I will mention few examples:
- Implemented 2 locks for cash collection boxes in both masjid 2 people with separate key to open the donation boxes, to count the money, and deposit the cash.  Keeping logs for all cash collected. the sheets are stored and attached to the deposit slips for good record keeping.
- Implementing 2 signature policy for checks with amount larger than 2500 dollars.
- Require all vendors who do work for ISGD to complete W9 forms to ensure compliance with federal/state laws.
- Debit cards are issued for all committee heads to use. All expenses are monitored closely to control spending and for record keeping.
- All ISGD expenses are paid by only using Checks or debit card for records keeping.
- Work with CPA to good record keeping for all incoming and outgoing expenses.
- Purchased credit card machine/device to make donations easy for our community.
Future plans:
- Try to obtain federal funds for our Masjids which are available for house of worship.
- Try to create endowment fund/business to generate income for ISGD to make ISGD more independent and to rely less on donations.
I kindly ask you to vote for me.

JAK,
Br. Hussam Qasem
